Since its inception, Ora Bella has rapidly become a reputable and popular restaurant and function venue where people return again and again, to sample good food and wine in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Ora Bella was started by its owner, Harry, as a restaurant in 2002, when it replaced an old corner grocer store in a symmetrical building, built in 1952 by Harry’s uncle Charlie. The family has lived and worked in the area for many years. Harry was born and grew up in the house next door to Ora Bella Restaurant. In fact, so much of the family’s history is woven in the fabric of the area that customers often have a chat about mutual friends and family members, reminiscing about old times and often see their friends sitting at nearby tables.
Seeing a gap in the market for old world charm and an upmarket yet affordable venue, Harry’s imagination soared and in 2007 the underground wine cellar opened as an elegant and upmarket function venue, followed a year later by the conferencing and banqueting venues.
Great care is taken to meet and surpass customers’ expectations of their functions, conferences and weddings. We strive to provide a variety of good quality food and attentive staff.
Ora Bella started as one man’s vision and inspiration and continues to grow. There are always changes and improvements happening at Ora Bella but the core values remain the same.
